Visible light is one of the most common forms of energy in the world. It can betraverse the body through the eyes, cause physical changes in the environment around it, and likely have other side-effects as well. Some people usevisible light to help them live in areas where other forms of energy can’t.
Visible light can also be dangerous. When it hit the human eyes in the way that they do, the light created an immediate and intense experience of vision. This was not something that was expected and/or desired and/or necessary in any way. It was a perfect storm of factors that led to the lives of the people in the town.
